Home Condition Reports

Forceten employ and have association with, Licensed and Registered Home Inspectors who are fully qualified in the inspection of homes intended for sale.

The Government has introduced, by legislation, a standard for the Inspection of Homes, these standards form part of the Housing Act 2004 and with soon become mandatory processes in house sales. This will create a legal obligation by house sellers, prior to marketing, to produce a complete Home Information Pack for their property.

The intention of this is to reduce the number of aborted sales due to defects which are brought to light in the period offer acceptance and completion.

Forceten Home Inspectors are able to produce Home Condition Reports (HCRs) and Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) to the legislative standard, for storage in the national Government databank. We offer this service to Estate Agents, Solicitors, Home Information Pack providers and directly to Vendors.

In line with our other report formats, costs are fixed prior to instruction. Our quality standards ensure contact with the vendor immediately following instructions, the inspection reports which typically take between 3 to 5 hours to complete, being carried out at the vendors’ convenience. Our target for report production being 3 working days, dependant on availability of external information.

In addition to the Home Condition Report we are able to offer a full service of Supporting Information, Recommendations and Contractor Management should any defect require repair or renovation prior to completion.
